Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury (CIRI) poses a pivotal barrier to neuronal survival after successful recanalization in acute ischemic stroke. This phenomenon involves multiplexed pathophysiology where oxidative stress-neuroinflammation cascades critically drive neuronal death.
